Establishing Partnerships and Cooperation through Joint Research

Research advisors or overseas research partners, mainly from national universities in Japan, are identified for selected model labs. The advisors visit HCMUT once a year to carry out research with their assigned model labs. In return, one member from each model lab is selected and participates in a one-month training program conducted in the lab of his/her advisor in Japan.

The model labs’ partners from provinces and local communities visit HCMUT for one month to carry out joint research. It is hoped that this experience leads to technological transfer from the university to provinces. At the same time, the models labs maintain close contact with and visit their local partners and related sites in the provinces on a regular basis.

Through these joint activities, it is expected that Research-Based Education (RBE) is introduced to the models labs and the University-Community Linkage and cooperation are strengthened.
